November 18, 2009 marked a critical point that is going to change my life forever. On this day I have begun a journey to where I have no clue it might take me, but I'm excited for it to start. I have officially joined the Air Force. I leave for BMT (Basic Military Training) in April. The Air Force BMT is a 9 week program in San Antonio, Texas. I am looking forward to these next years and can't wait to see what's going to happen. I will, at this point, be going into Cybernetics and working towards my Bachelors degree. Once I am close to getting my degree I will be able to apply to become an officer.
Since September of 2009, I have been attending Clark College. My degree of choice was Web Design & Development. But due to the economy and me joining the Air Force, I have decided to expand my degree into a Bachelor in Computer Science.
I currently live in Vancouver, Washington, the best state known to man. I have lived in Washington all my life and I can definitely say that I've enjoyed it. One of the great bonuses to living in Washington is the weather during the spring and summer. When it's not raining, Washington can have the best weather for Ultimate Frisbee. It doesn't get too hot or windy, making perfect conditions for long and unrelenting games of Ultimate Frisbee.
Besides Ultimate Frisbee, another one of my hobbies is playing drums. I've played drums for 7 years now. Along with playing a normal kit, I play the djembe drum and other percussion instruments. I love the deep sound that djembe's put out, along with the other types of sounds. I occasionally get to play music with one of my best friends, Daniel Graef. We decided as a joke to record some songs and make a ridiculous band called Jock Jams!. You can check some of the songs on the Jock Jams! Homepage on Facebook.
The type of games that I play the most are Real-Time Strategy, First-Person Shoot 'em Ups, and MMORPG based games. Some of those games include: Starcraft, Age of Empires II - The Conquerors, Desktop Tower Defense, Spore, Counter Strike: Source, Team Fortress 2, and Half Life 2.
City Harvest Church is my home church. I have been seeking the Lord there since 2006 and have experienced radical changes in my life. I have gone to Ecuador, in 2008, with City Harvest Church on a mission trip, which put life into perspective on how good we have it here in America.
Some of my favorite books include: the Bible, Systematic Theology, Letters to a Young Conservative, the Lord of the Rings, Rush Limbaugh, Hazards of Being a Man, and The Revolution - A Manifesto.
Besides a personal site, I decided that I would start an archive of articles, on my Reviews page, to help anyone who's interested in finding out my thoughts on some awesome things and places. So tell your friends and check out my reviews and see what's going on! If you have any suggestions or requests for a review, send me an email at SpencerBeale@gmail.com.
